Land Wind Speed Record

Wired News is reporting that the speed record for a wind-powered a land craft with wheels has been broken: 126.1 mph. This breaks the former land/sailing record of 116.7 mph. Here is the freaky looking craft, the Greenbird, that did it:




Man that's a weird-looking thing. It belongs in some science fiction novel. You can see also that since it has only one ama (Arm with wheel) it can only sail on a port tack.
